There was several things I was less than pleased with. 1- day of check in I receive a call from a woman telling me she needed another credit card right then to guarantee my cottage check in because I booked with Amex via Expedia and they don’t take Amex and she wanted a payment then. It was bizarre and left me feeling vaulnerible giving credit card to a random person on the phone. Just tacky... why couldn’t they have called a couple weeks ago? 2- The property/VStays provides NO amenities in anyway. It is beyond ridiculous- no sheets for pull out sofa. No extra towels. Only 2 per bathroom for the shower bathrooms. None for the half bath. No more than 1 toilet paper roll per bathroom we had to buy our own. No coffee filters for the coffee pot etc only one paper towel roll and no kitchen towels. Additionally we traveled with an 18 month old. The property company doesn’t provide any high chairs or pack and plays or baby gates for the stairs. We ended up purchasing a baby gate... as far as cleanliness go ... the property appears clean at first glance. However my baby son’s feet were BLACK and with crumbs within 30 mins each time he got up and walked without shoes. The floors were absolutely filthy. I took pictures of his feet out of the sheer shock of how disgusting. The pull out sofa bed was COVERED in yellow stains. I ended up buying blankets and sheets from target and Ross for the sofa bead since none were provided. <br/>Margaritaville is beautiful and the cottages charming. I would go back but I absolutely wouldn’t rent from VStays again.

Great Stay

My only complaint was for a three-bedroom cottage there were only 6 towels total, by the time 4 people enjoyed the pool/hot tub and bathed 6 does not go very far. We were washing towels constantly! Otherwise, everything else was great! I loved the location; we were so close to everything. We would definitely stay there again.
Family Vacation

The garbage disposal and dishwasher would not turn on. Shower door upstairs would not shut properly. The towels.....were not good. I stayed at this resort two years ago and the towels were my only complaint then. This year the towels seem even worse, so thin and felt like they would scratch you and of course not enough. I will come back again and enjoy all the other wonderful things. It was a great stay!

Very little outside noise in the home.
Only issue we had was the home was very cold when we arrived and it took the heating over 24 hours to get the home to warm up.

Staying at a cottage is not an Airbnb
Reviewed on 2022-07-06 by , Casselberry, FL United StatesThe ONLY suggestion I have is that the owner/management company needs to be accessible to provide more details about the actual property - for example, something as simple as - is there a coffee maker? With other property rentals one is able to directly message the owner. When I called with some questions, management company unable to answer about this particular location. We are locals and brought our own coffeemaker - would have been helpful to know ahead of time - there was a standard maker and we would have brought ground coffee. Missing some of the things present in most Airbnbs - no measuring cups or spoons - limited pots and pans and kitchen linens. Most people will eat out but we like to cook some meals ourselves and it would be helpful to know what we would need to purchase for ourselves. We brought additional toilet paper and paper towels, as asking for more would require a charge. BUT - location was great, pool was small but nice - close to lots of restaurants and activities - so overall a great experience with our family all able to stay together in one spot. Loved the video arcade game.

Not toddler proof

We called the management company at the resort, but they blamed the alarm company. With two toddlers, we were unable to use our private pool - the sole reason we booked the house. We felt that it was unsafe to hang out at the home with active toddlers. We left a baby gate and other baby proofing items that we had to buy. Hope they get put to use by the next guests! The floors were filthy - GROSS FILTHY.

There were more than enough cups/plates/bowls and it was great that there were plastic items as well for bringing outside. Chairs on the second floor balcony would be a great addition. Also, we were outside 95% of the time enjoying the pool, spa and fresh air- the speakers are a fantastic idea but we could not figure out what source the music was coming from or how to change it. Our only option was listening to Rush, live in concert, lol. Some instructions would be great! We loved staying here and tried to book it for a future trip in the fall; unfortunately it is already booked but that's not surprising as it's such a great house. Thank you for a wonderful week!
We absolutely loved staying in this new, spotless, beautifully decorated cottage. 3.5 bathrooms was a vacation luxury. Location is perfect- close to the resort and also overlooking the water & not the back of another cottage. We called the management company as the pool was getting really low and someone was there to fill it in less than 30 minutes. <br/>Few dollar store items I would recommend adding: a can opener, a strainer (for pasta and rinsing fruit) and a cutting board. There were more than enough cups/plates/bowls and it was great that there were plastic items as well for bringing outside. Chairs on the second floor balcony would be a great addition. Great home

Serene escape, close to the parks.

Nicely appointed house, all linens and kitchenware included and clean, to include separate pool towels. Great proximity to main resort amenities, and local commerce area outside the gate loaded with great restaurants. Would absolutely return.

Good Florida Resident Getaway

There is a great pool alarm, so this is one thing parents should not worry about. There were NO beach towels for the townhouse, but they were if you went to the main pool, but only for the main pool area. Bring your own for the townhouse. There was only one set of towels (washcloth, hand towel and bath towels) per person. Plan to do laundry; a couple pods were left for the washer. Same with dishtowel, none there but sponges and a small bottle of dishwashing
liquid to do by hand. A couple pods were left for the dishwasher, but bring some of your own. Large refrigerator and pantry were of great use. Be aware that 2 bedrooms, laundry and additional living room were upstairs. 17 steps. One bedroom downstairs. If you have small children there is a company that you can rent items from (stroller, etc.) called Derenter. They were very good. They also have items for older folks. Bring some garbage bags. There were
a couple there, but we went through them in no time.
You must place trash bag outside in a container daily. No housekeeping service. We did have a TV issue and called for help. Someone came within a few minutes and helped us. Restaurants within walking distance or very easy to drive to, basically across the main road. There was a shuttle to main parks, but we did not want to go there. We went to Gatorland, which was a pleasant surprise. Also, went to the area where the ferris-wheel like thing is at ICON Park. Great Aquarium, especially for little ones. Ride the wheel, great views and it goes very slowly. Whole family can go together. Was easy to check in and out. Did not eat in any of the restaurants on the property, but they looked great.
The townhouse was clean and in a very good location; near main hotel area and pools. Having your own pool and hot tub was a great bonus. Disappointing
Reviewed on 2021-06-05 by Monique W. , Lake Worth , FL USWhen we walked into the property the smell of paint was overwhelming....and then it went downhill from there.from the dryer that did not work to the leak from the top floor to the kitchen floor that looked like it had been painted over several times in the past. The icing on the cake was when I called I was told that our reservation didn’t exist then magically it did and then they sent maintenance out to do a temporary fix. Initially I thought management was responsive telling me that we would get a refund for two of the four days...well that never happened and after follow up I was told that I would have to go through Expedia to get the refund. Well the problem is I didn’t book through Expedia.. I have asked for contact and nothing. I’m beyond frustrated. I know things happen but this is unacceptable. If you want headaches this is the place for you. On a positive the location is great close to shops and a 10-15 minute drive to the parks.

Great house that created an awesome experience. My sister and I spent the weekend in margaritaville cottage it was a wonderful time. Our kids stayed in the private pool/hot tub for hours each day. The house was in beautiful shape and spacious for our party. Great location to the main resort and shopping/dining. <br/><br/>Only complaint: no pool towels or coffee filters.

Beautiful location. Clean? Not so much

Then as we started to unpack and settle in we noticed how dirty it was. My wife's feet were literally black with pet hair on them after we unpacked us and our kids. We did not have a pet so not sure where that came from. The fact that her feet were so dirty is unacceptable. We told the front desk folks and they said OK. There was food left in the freezer, dirty washcloths on the patio and broken blinds everywhere in the house that wouldn't raise/lower or open. The outside had a bunch of used plastic hookah mouthpieces. I know that because one was still wrapped on the floor. I have pictures and never heard back from anyone. Sad really as we really liked the location but if this is how they keep all the cottages "clean" we won't be back.

Amazing place to stay

The pool and jacuzzi were amazing. Our teens rented bicycles on the property and the property had three large pools that were fabulous. The food was good although a bit pricy. The house could use some basic things like spices, tea, coffee, etc.

Pool was heated per requested. Brittany with vstays was helpful and pleasant. We called for more sheets, a PlayStation cord and more blankets. We had someone at our doorstep within 15-20 minutes with the requested items. We loved the pool area. They had lawn games, live music and a pleasant wait staff. The poolside shrimp and wings were delicious. This won’t be our last stay. We will most definitely be back.
